Flush Casement Windows

Flush casement windows have a traditional pre-war style. In contrast to the stormproof design the panes sit flush with the frame of the window when closed, rather than overlapping. Flush casement windows suit an older style of building, originating in Medieval times and commonly seen in cottages and modest properties dating back to the 1920's and 1930's. Our skilled joiners construct flush casement windows to individual specification in solid or engineered timber, offering a range of timbers including various solid hardwoods, European oak and Accoya.

We bring the quality and performance of this traditional window to contemporary standards, using low-emissivity insulating glass to meet current building regulations, and compression seals for draught-proofing. Trickle vents provide controlled ventilation and durability is assured by the use of traditional mortise & tenon construction, with butt hinges.

We fit 20mm plant-on glazing bars, with an integral spacer bar between the glass, to achieve an authentic paneled appearance. We offer your choice of Ovolo or Lamb's Tongue internal molding as standard, with traditional black iron furniture (handles).

Contact us to discuss your requirements. We'll happily visit sites throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria, the Lake District and other areas to assess your needs and offer advice on flush casement window design and materials.
